Taguig City bags HR excellence award


TAGUIG CITY, May 25 (PIA) – For its consistency in meeting the city employees’ needs, the Human Resources Management Office (HRMO) of Taguig City was recently given recognition by the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

The department received a certificate for reaching Maturity Level 2 in two Human Resource (HR) systems — Performance Management and Rewards and Recognition — under the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM).

City Personnel Officer Jeanette Clemente explained that the recognition means that the city government managed to comply with all the requirements mandated by the CSC under the said systems.

“This validates that the programs we implemented are beneficial and truly cater to the needs of our employees. We’re trying our best to continue developing our existing programs and try creating new ones which will not only focus on our employees’ excellence but will also improve their personalities, skills and professionalism,” she added.

Taguig City was given the award for the programs it laid down such as “Parangal sa mga Natatanging Lingkod Bayan” recognizing outstanding employees, and the “Salamat, Paalam” program which gives honor to retiring employees. The first is in the Performance Management category, and the second, in the Rewards and Recognition category.

Meanwhile, the city’s HMRO is currently aiming for the two other systems — Recruitment, Selection, and Placement, and Learning and Development — to reach the Maturity Level 2.  (TAGUIG/RJB/JEG/PIA-NCR)
