Sartain 3-run HR gives A&M lead in Super Regional

In Game Three of the Super Regional, both No. 9 national seed Texas A&M and No. 8 Tennessee are fighting for a spot in the Women’s College World Series. With the Vols taking the first game and the Aggies winning the second on Saturday, it all comes down to Sunday afternoon’s contest in Knoxville.

A&M entered the top of the third inning trailing 3-0. However, after scoring one run to cut the lead to 3-1, Aggie sophomore Riley Sartain stepped to the plate and belted a three-run homer over the left field fence to give A&M a 4-3 lead. The game is airing on ESPN but there is a rain delay in the top of the fourth. It was the 12th long ball of the year for the infielder from Aledo.

In the bottom of the inning, Erica Russell came up with a great catch in the outfield to keep the Vols from tying the game.
