The class work of higher secondary schools and colleges would remain suspended in many districts on Wednesday as a precautionary measure, an official spokesman said.
According to Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, class work in Government Degree College Kangan and Boys Higher Secondary School Ganderbal shall remain suspended tomorrow.
The Deputy Commissioner Budgam said class work in all higher secondary schools and colleges in the district shall remain suspended tomorrow.
He said the staff shall remain present in the institutions.
The class work in higher secondary schools and colleges shall also remain suspended in all educational institutions in Anantnag and Shopian districts.
According to district administration of Kupwara, classwork in all degree colleges in the district shall remain suspended tomorrow but University level examinations will be conducted as per the schedule.
The district administration said that class work in Boys Higher Secondary School Trehgaam, Girls Higher Secondary School Trehgaam, Boys Higher Secondary School Kralpora, Boys Higher Secondary School Handwara, Boys Higher Secondary School Banair Langate, Boys Higher Secondary School Qalamabad, Boys Higher Secondary School Kupwara and Boys Higher Secondary School Drugmullah shall remain suspended.
It said remaining higher secondary schools, high schools, middle schools, and primary schools will remain open in the district.
According to the District Magistrate Pulwama, all schools and colleges of the Pulwama district shall remain closed on May 31 and June 01 as a precautionary measure.
The colleges and higher secondary schools in Srinagar will also remain closed on Wednesday,

The schools and colleges across Kashmir have been shut for the last two days after killing of Hizbul Mujahideen Commander Sabzar Bhat in an encounter with forces in a village in Tral in Pulwama district on Sunday.
